2003 Spring-thing
May 3-4 (Cinco de Mayo celebration)
This year we celebrated our spring birthdays in conjunction with the Hispanic Cinco de Mayo. That's a celebration of a battle in Mexico known as la batalla de Puebla. In 1862 a small, poorly armed militia of about 4,500 were able to stop and defeat a well outfitted French army of 6,500 soldiers. There are a lot of jokes I could throw in here, but I wouldn't think of belittling the French - they don't need any help.
